Husky Puppies Need Exercise

If you have recently added a new husky puppy to your family then you know how energetic they are. Husky Puppies are one of the breeds that require a lot of exercise in order to keep them out of trouble. Going for a run on the beach, a walk through a park or playing fetch in the yard a few ways to keep your puppy occupied.

One of the best ways for any puppy to burn some energy is running. I live on the east coast so I’m a big fan of taking my dogs over to the beach for a nice run. You’ll want to make sure that you take your husky for a run on the beach when the beaches are empty. Tons of people will only complicate things, plus in most places it’s illegal. The beach is such an open area and your puppy will be able to run for miles. You might want to bring a frisbee along as well. Siberian huskies love to jump up to catch a frisbee.

If you do not liveĀ  near a beach you can always find a local park to take your pup for a nice long walk. If you live near a dog park then that would be even better. Dog parks are a great place for your new puppy to socialize. There are usually rules that must be followed at dog parks, one in particular is that your pooch must be on a leash. I would recommend getting a Nite Brite Reflecting Leash. A reflective leash will come in handy if you ever want to take your dog for a walk in the evening.

If you can’t get to a beach or a park then playing in the backyard is just as good! My dogs love to play fetch with just about anything. You can use a ball, a stick, or a frisbee. If you haven’t already tried it, teach your husky how to play frisbee and you’ll amazed at the heights they can reach!
