Enjoy the Ride: There’s Hope For Dogs Who Hate Cars

Does your dog hate car rides?  The trick is getting your dog used to car trips is baby steps.

1.  Start off the process by just sitting in the car with your dog.  Sounds silly, huh?  Well, you don’t want your dog to think that every time he gets in the car, he’s headed for the vet!

2.  When he’s comfortable with just being in the car with you, take him for a quick spin down the street and back.

3.  Keep lengthening the trip until he’s completely at ease.

You two will be cruisin’ in no time!

Quick tip:  Bringing along his favorite toy and/or blanket never hurts.
