Not All Dog Collars Are Created Equal
Oh my what a big world the world of dog collars is! There’s a style for everyone. There’s leather and spiked. There’s nylon and reflective. There’s pink with rhinestones. And the list goes on and on. Which type of collar best suits your dog’s needs?
If you have a rough and tumble sort of dog that doesn’t mind getting a little dirty, then perhaps you should look into leather collars. The obvious advantage here would be durability. It will last forever and your dog can be as hard on it as he’d like.
If your pup is a sporty, no nonsense type of dog, a nylon collar might just be right up his alley. Though not as durable as a dog collar made of leather, nylon collars are lightweight, inexpensive and waterproof.
If you dog likes to accompany you on those nightly walks or jogs, then a cool, reflective dog collar may be just the ticket. When oncoming headlights hit it, you guys will stand out.
Of course, for a fancier type of dog, that likes a bit of pampering and attention, a beautiful rhinestone collar is always appropriate. You’ll know if a sparkly collar is best for your prince or princess by the way people always greet him or her before you when entering your home. They have to. Your baby demands it!
So the moral of the story is…a dog’s collar is more than just a place to hang some tags. It’s personal. It reflects the personality of your dog. Please choose carefully.
