Stinky Dog Breath?

I love my dog, but his bad breath just had to go!  I scoured the web to find some easy tips to keep the stink at bay.  Here’s what I found:

  • Add fresh parsley to his food daily.  This will banish the odor.  (Hint:  It works on people, too!)
  • Ever go a day without brushing your teeth?  Okay, you see where I’m going here.  Brush your dog’s teeth regularly.  Not only will it help with the bad breath, but it will keep you from having to pay the vet for a costly cleaning later.
  • Use chew toys and crunchy dog biscuits.  There are great ‘dental bones’ on the market that will fight tarter buildup, too.

The above tips will effectively fight most offensive dog breath, but if your dog’s breath is unusually strong, please see the vet.  It could be the sign of a problem.
