Doberman Pinscher Potty Training Tips

Tip # 1: Train your Doberman while he is a pup.

Any Doberman Training would necessitate a younger Doberman than a full grown adult. It could be difficult to highly impossible potty training an adult dog. An old Doberman is fixed in his old ways making it hard for them to introduce to new teachings.

Tip # 2: Take your Dog to a Potty trip the moment it wakes up.
As soon as your puppy wakes up, take him out to his Potty area and wait until it has pooped or pee. You could wait there for 5 to 10 minutes to do his thing until he is done. You have to take him out every day in the same schedule to get your puppy and his bowel accustomed to Potty time.

Tip # 3: Anticipate the need to potty after few minutes of eating.

Wait for around 10 to 15 minutes after your puppy’s meal and take them outside for a potty. Usually they would feel the urge to defecate after they have digested the food they have taken in.

Tip # 4: Monitor your Puppy’s Naps and Meals.

To make the potty habits controlled and regular, you have to monitor your puppy’s routine. Remember that they tend to potty few minutes after meals and naps. Therefore, control their meal schedule and sleep schedule so that their potty time would fall on your most convenient schedule.
Tip # 5: Praise your Puppy when they have Potty at the right place.
The most important thing in Doberman Puppy Training is the positive reinforcements that follow a desired action. This will motivate your Doberman puppy to please you more. Do not give rewards if your dog’s performance is lacking. It has to be perfect. This is not being strict towards your dog but rather consistency to avoid confusion and poor performance from your dog.
