Cruelty Free Makeup

Cruelty free makeup does exist, and people that believe in treating animals well should definitely look into buying such makeup. Animals can be mistreated and tortured with continuous tests, and/or death because of the practices of some cosmetic companies. Not every cosmetic company manufactures or sells cruelty free makeup. Such makeup isn’t too difficult to find, but one must know that they have to research companies in order to find it. Usually, if you call a company and ask them if they manufacture or sell cruelty free makeup, they will be completely honest about it. Also, visiting websites of the cosmetics companies, or even reading the label on the back of the cosmetics you want to purchase may tell you more about the topic at hand.

Animals don’t deserve to be tested or tortured in order for people to look pretty via makeup. There’s no way companies that test on animals can justify what they do. There are many companies that don’t test on animals. For example, “Avon does not conduct animal testing on any of its products or raw ingredients and does not require that suppliers of raw ingredients and finished products produced for Avon conduct animal testing on our behalf” (Animal Testing). Also, the Mary Kay Cosmetics Company says that: “Mary Kay does not support animal testing” (Mary Kay Company Quick Facts). Keeping animal cruelty free companies in mind when purchasing products is a good thing to do. For the sake of the well being of animals, it is a good thing to only purchase products from companies who don’t want to negatively treat animals. Such companies are out there, and it only takes a small smidgen of time to find out which companies are animal friendly.
