Clothes Covered In Pet Hair?

I have a short-haired dog (thank goodness!), but my cat’s fur leaves a thick, cream-colored coating on every bit of fabric in sight! I stopped wearing black, I stopped petting him when I was on the sofa, you name it, I tried it.

I don’t have the problem any more and the solution is amazingly simple.
