Adopting A Dog? Bring A Crate

Adopting a dog?  Bring a crate.

When going to pick up your new shelter dog, always bring a crate.  The dog you adopt is sure to become a loving member of the family, but you need to be prepared for behavior that you’re, well, not prepared for.

Maybe he’s great with kids and likes to get his belly scratched, but when riding in the car he becomes fearful and aggressive at the first sign of a nearby motorcycle.  This comes from personal experience with my sweet boy, Sam.  He’s awesome and gentle and charming, but get him in the lane next to a biker and look out!

Not having your newly adopted pet properly secured can be dangerous for both you and your dog.  Dogs can be unpredictable, be prepared.
